Healing is hard. Parenting through it is harder. You don't have to do either alone.
The Story Behind Our Name "Pastel Phoenix"
A name is a promise. Ours holds two.
Pastel is the color of gentleness. Soft, warm, and quiet, it is the deliberate opposite of a clinical hospital room. It is the color of a hand-knit hospital blanket, a crayon in a small hand, a blanket that isn't scratchy, a card that says someone cared enough to make it by hand. Healing doesn't always have to be loud or intense to be powerful. Pastel is the creative, vibrant tool we use to bring color back to medicine.
A Phoenix is what comes after. The phoenix is an ancient symbol of rebirth, rising from the ashes stronger and renewed. For a child navigating a medical crisis, that journey can feel incredibly heavy. A phoenix doesn't avoid the fire; it rises through it. The children and families we reach are already in the middle of their hardest chapters, and we are not here to pretend otherwise. We are here to remind them that this moment doesn't get the last word.
Put together, Pastel Phoenix represents both halves of the same beautiful truth: softness and strength, comfort and courage, color and creation, pastel and phoenix.
It stands for the gentle resilience within every child we serve; a reminder that even in the darkest times, hope can be rebuilt. One soft stroke, one creative spark, and one bright color at a time.
